"Most" pharmacies across southwest London will remain open over Easter, according to the NHS.

A spokesperson for NHS South West London CCG said the majority of local pharmacies will open from 2pm to 5pm on Good Friday (April 10) and Easter Monday (April 12) to help support residents amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Some opening hours may vary and some pharmacies may not be able to open at all if social distancing rules makes it impossible - such as those that may be placed in large shopping centres.

Nick Beavon, South West London Pharmacy lead said: “Many of our community pharmacies across South West London will be open for essential services to help with local resident’s health needs.

“Every pharmacist is trained in managing minor illnesses and are experts in medicines and also offer health and wellbeing advice and you do not need to book an appointment.

“I would like to thank everyone working in our community pharmacies for their commitment and dedication supporting South West London at this time. Pharmacies will be working within social distancing guidelines so please remember to stay two metres away.”
