THERE is a warning to stay away from the cliffs after a series of cliff falls at Birling Gap.
The beach at the beauty spot is closed to the public today until further notice, Wealden District Council said.
The authority wrote on Twitter: “Birling Gap beach remains closed until further notice following a number of rock falls.
“Should you be heading to the coast this half-term #becliffaware and stay away from the edge.”
This comes after Storm Dennis battered the coast at the weekend.
The storm caused flooding, road closures, major disruption on the railways and high winds brought trees crashing down.
It arrived hot on the heels of the previous weekend’s Storm Ciara, which caused such structural damage to the Claremont Hotel it had to be demolished.
