A 23-year-old man has been arrested following a violent assault on a police officer on board a train.
The male from Welling has been arrested for GBH, Theft, resisting arrest and being unlawfully at large.
Police were called to Kidbrooke station after receiving reports that a police officer had been assaulted, last Sunday (February 2).
The plainclothes officer was attacked in the course of making an arrest, for a high-value theft that occurred earlier that day.
He received minor injuries from the male suspect, including a bite to the hand.
The officer was taken to a Central London Hospital and is recovering well.
The suspect remains in police custody at a south London police station.
