Trains in Lewisham and on the Hayes Line are currently being blocked by a trackside fire at Elmer's End.

Firefighters are on the scene at the Bromley station dealing with the fire, but Network Rail are warning of knock-on affects on other Southeastern services this morning.

It is not known how long delays are expected last, but services on the Hayes line and in the general Lewisham area are currently being held for safety reasons.

Due to the disruption, London buses are currently accepting tickets between Hayes and Lewisham.

The London Fire Brigade are in attendance. In a statement they said they were "called to reports of a fire on the trackside at Elmers End station at 0757 today.

"A jumper cable (similar to a car jump start lead) between tracks was alight. The fire was under control by 0831. One fire engine from Woodside Fire Station attended."
