Oswestry library was full of creativity on Saturday as artists and creators of all ages came together.

More than 40 youngsters came together with their parents and grandparents to enjoy drawing and painting at the library in Arthur Street from the morning until the afternoon.

John Swogger, who is an archaeologist and a member of the Hillfort Community Group which is made up of archaeologists, poets and creative people, was delighted with how the day went, and hopes it becomes and popular event for the coming months.

"It's been full on all day," he said.

"It's been good to see so many people here. It's a day for parents and their kids to do something creative with their parents and grandparents.

"It's important to see so many people here getting creative.

"But it's not to say that we're offering a drop-off session for kids.

"We want to see them having fun getting creative together with their parents."
