COMPETITORS at Syke Farm near Sedbergh transformed a hedge which was last laid in 1998.
The twelfth annual Yorkshire Dales National Park Hedge Laying Competition saw 13 entrants compete across four classes.
Andrew Kirkwood scooped double honours, winning the championship class and being named best hedger on the day.
The judges were Sedbergh's Roger Sedgwick and Paul Postlethwaite, of Endmoor.
