AN OSWESTRY knitting group recently presented ambulance staff with some knitted teddies wearing their colours.
At their meeting on Monday, January 13, the Crafty Knitters welcomed Tom Lander and Bradley Pritchard of St John Ambulance and presented the pair with 79 emergency teddies knitted in the St John colours.
The knitters also made glove puppets for the ambulance staff.
The group knitted teddies for emergency services in 2019, with the products made going to Oswestry police officers and firefighters.
Knitted toys are made so they can be given to children involved in emergency situations when they need reassuring.
For anyone interested in knitting who might wish to join the group, it meets every second Monday of the month between 1.30pm and 3pm at the Senior Citizens Club in Lorne Street, Oswestry.
