Charlton are closing in on the signing of Blackpool forward Armand Gnanduillet, sources can reveal.

Lee Bowyer is keen to add fire-power to his squad before the weekend and the Addick’s, it seems, are moving quickly to secure the services of the 27-year-old.

With a threadbare squad, Bowyer revealed he was keen to bring in two new faces before West Brom’s visit on Saturday as they look to improve their record of one win 14.

It’s been confirmed that Lyle Taylor rejected an improved contract offer to extend his stay at Charlton so Gnanduillet’s arrival will go some lengths to easing his departure should the club accept bids for the forward.

The Frenchman has been in stellar form for the League One outfit this season scoring 15 goals in 27 appearances.

It was reported that The Valley outfit tried and failed to land Gnanduillet in the summer, but they now look set to get their man.
