Met Police in Teddington have said that new CCTV cameras have been installed at a car park that is prone to criminal activity.
According Met Police Teddington - the cameras are in North Lane and Fieldend following reports of anti-social behaviour and theft from garages.
A statement posted online by Met Police in Teddington said: "As well as our regular patrolling, these temporary cameras will be visible deterrents to issues affecting local residents."
In 2015, the Government's surveillance camera watchdog accused council's of deliberately switching off CCTV camera's in a bid to save money which in turn made difficult for police to investigate serious crimes.
