A woman was been arrested on suspicion of offences including child cruelty after a Boxing Day crash in Teddington High Street.
Police reported the woman was initially arrested for drink driving, but was further arrested after witnesses reported a child had been in the vehicle's passenger seat.
A statement posted online by Met Police in Teddington said: "Female arrested for Driving whilst unfit through drink on Boxing Day after collision on Teddington High Street.
"She was further arrested for child cruelty as witnesses reported a child in her care was in the passenger seat."
Richmond and Twickenham Times approached Met Police for further comment.
