Met Police in Kew were called to North Richmond after receiving reports that a male had been seen acting suspiciously on December 29.
According to police reports - the man was filmed in Bicester Road by CCTV camera's owned by the Council.
A statement posted on social media by Met Police in Kew said: "Also nearby, having been spotted on CCTV by @LBRUT acting suspiciously on @MPSNthRichmond’s Bicester Road in the early hours.
"A 20-yuear-old male was searched and found to be in possession of cannabis."
Officers in Kew have been carrying out patrols in Dancer Road, Darrel Road, Niton Road and Chilton Road and as well as communal passageways in a bid to crack down on anti-social behaviour in the area.
