A man was caught with a 'quantity of cocaine' when he was searched by officers who were patrolling roads and passage ways in Kew on December 28.

Two men were stopped on North Road at around 2pm after Met Police received reports of anti-social behaviour.

A statement posted on social media by Met Police said: "We’ve been spending most of the day down the alleyways or #Kew keeping an eye out for bad people.

"We’ve had a number of intelligence-led #StopAndSearch and over 6km of foot patrols"

"One of the searches by PC Dyson on Quiet Way, #Kew uncovered a quantity of cocaine on a 49-year old male.

"That individual will be interviewed under caution next week."

According to police reports - two males were seen to be acting suspiciously, and had to be detained for a search.

One of the males was found to be in possession of a white powder, which officers suspected to be Cocaine.

He has since been asked to attend Kingston Police Station where he will be interviewed under caution.

The second male had no further action after a search that was carried out on him was negative.
