Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision outside The Beehive Pub in Hounslow.

Paramedics from the The London Ambulance Service (LAS) were the first emergency response team to arrive at the pub.

They then called the police at 10:49pm, following reports of a car collision with a male pedestrian on Half Acre near Brentford High Street on December 27.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and a 73-year-old man had to be taken to a south London hospital for treatment.

Medics believe that the man's injuries are not life-threatening and his family has been informed.

No arrests have been made however, detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.

They would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have captured it on dash cam.
