Residents are being reminded that the waste collection times have changed over the festive period throughout December and January.

On December 23 and December 24, normal rubbish collections will take place however - from Christmas Day, Richmond Council will carry out waste and recycling collections from domestic properties, two days later than usual.

Normal collections will continue on December 30 and December 31, and collections scheduled between January 1, and January 3 will take place a day later than normal from New Years day onwards.

Richmond's normal collection days will resume on January 6 .

Residents are asked that if they have excessive paper or card collections which cannot be deposited in their recycling containers, they are asked to consider taking this to a local street recycling site or to the Household Waste and Recycling Centre at Townmead Road, Kew.

Recycling Box Deliveries, Bulky Waste Special Collections and Garden Waste Collections will continue through until December 20, and will recommence on 6 January 6.

Real Christmas Trees will be collected between January 6 and January 17.

Richmond's waste and recycling teams will be working to ensure Christmas and New Years' collections are completed throughout the borough.

Residents are also advised to be mindful that due to heavy workloads some collection crews may be undertaking collections later than normal.
