Mothercare has gone into administration and will be having an 'everything must go' sale after nearly 60 years of business.

The brand's final sale will see prices drastically reduced and Mothercare staff have confirmed that there are currently high levels of stock which is great news for those who are welcoming additions to their families.

A Mothercare Spokesperson said “This is the perfect opportunity for customers to pick up some amazing deals as everything is reduced.

"Demand will be high so don’t wait to grab a fantastic deal, especially if you’re Christmas shopping!

"We’d also like to thank our customers for their historic support of the Mothercare brand.”

The high street retailer has been the nation's number one supplier of prams, pushchairs, car seats, baby clothes, maternity clothes, nursery furniture, toys and gifts since 1961.

However the brand recently closed 60 of its stores and will be closing all of its remaining stores across the UK.

There's plenty of choice and customers are advised to take advantage of the heavy discounts as soon as possible as some of the most popular ranges will sell out fast.

Bosses have also confirmed that its website will remain live until further notice and discounts will also be available online as long as the website is live.

Gift cards will no longer be available to purchase and any product warranties or guarantees will remain valid and customers are encouraged to spend any gift cards as soon as possible.

There is a Mothercare store on Richmond High Street as well as Mothercare in Kingston and Mothercare in Hounslow.

UK high streets have previously said goodbye to BHS, Woolworths and Toys R Us as a result of a rise in online shopping and stores not being able to keep up with the demand.
