Teddington Police are reminding residents to take extra care and precaution when driving in very foggy road conditions.
Fogs are mainly composed of water droplets that are generally classified according to the physical process which produces saturation or near-saturation of the air.
According to the Met Office there are types of fog however, most cars have been designed with fog lights that can aide drivers who travel under difficult road conditions.
A spokesperson for Teddington Police said: "Very foggy road conditions this morning and plenty of road users have already been seen without any lights whatsoever.
These are low visibility road conditions, as long as low visibility persists turn the lights on."
