Girls from the Richmond Cricket Club have enjoyed a summer of success which included making it to the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) national finals.

Overall the girls played a total of 78 matches which consisted of 80 older girls and 40 younger girls giving up their Sunday mornings to train and attend holiday camps.

But the highlight of the season was the u13 team securing a place in the Twenty20 cup ECB national finals.

Richie Stubbs, junior fixture secretary for the club and u15 and u14 girl's coach, said: "The most memorable match was the London and South East regional final where the girls travelled to Tunbridge Wells, Kent on a Wednesday evening and chased down 183 with 7 balls of the 20 overs to spare."

Richmond Cricket Club are currently planning to host indoor cricket and nets sessions during the winter and an outdoor program of cricket for the girls in 2020 and will be looking for girls who may be interested in training, learning and playing cricket.
