WILTSHIRE Police says it believes it knows the identity of the man's body found near Stonehenge.
As reported, the force confirmed the find in Amesbury last Thursday, which was at a site off the A303 between the Countess and Longbarrow roundabouts.
Now a spokesperson has confirmed they are in contact with the man's family, who the force believes is a foreign national.
They added: "We believe that we know the identity of the deceased man and are in contact with his next of kin.
"The Coronial process will deal with formal identification.
"Our thoughts are with his family."
