Neil Harris explained that any team in the Championship would miss Jed Wallace's quality if they were forced to not play him.

The winger returned from a three-game suspension after receiving a red card against Sheffield Wednesday and marked his comeback with his second goal of the season after he calmly slotted away a penalty against Hull.

"I think you are always going to miss a player of Jed’s quality," Harris said.

"I said to him downstairs that I still want more from him – more quality in the penalty area – he turned down a lot of crossing opportunities today to get the ball into the box.

"[He showed] good bravery to take the penalty and dispatch it the way he did, I thought second half he was unplayable at times and made it very difficult for [Leonardo Da Silva] Lopes to defend against him.

"Jed’s a player at this level who has got pace and trickery. He’s going to give the ball away at times, I accept it. He gets things wrong but there is so much quality to his game and anybody in this league would miss his quality if he didn’t play.

"Well he scored today, so I think it will be a struggle to get the ball off him," Harris said when asked whether Wallace is Millwall's dedicated penalty taker.

"I think I missed three in a row once and no one was getting the ball off me so I think after scoring today I don’t think you are going to get the ball off him."

With the international break granting Millwall a two-week window without a game, Harris explained that he will be using that time to tune the squad's senses in an attempt to better their points return.

"I have rotated the squad quite a lot for the first month of the season so most players have played quite a lot of minutes which is a huge positive but the biggest thing is that most players are playing well.

"They have taken their opportunities and I want that to continue. I think I am going to have more difficult decisions coming up from what I have had to make so far.

"The break comes at a time where we can regroup and refocus. We have a few boys going away, I want them to get minutes, I want them to play for their international teams.

"I want them to enjoy themselves but I want them to come back fit.

"For the boys that are here, we have work to do. With and without the ball but obviously, recovery time becomes key for those who have been carrying knocks.

"I am pleased with the group we have got, and I am pleased with the points to return we have got but there is more to come."
