A suspected Charlton burglar has been charged in connection with a break-in near Westerham involving bogus police officers.
At around 11.30pm on July 9, a vehicle with blue flashing lights on its roof is reported to have approached a gated entrance to flats in Emmetts Lae.
Two men dressed as police officers and a third person, who was driving the car, were then allowed access to the grounds.
It is alleged the suspects then burgled a property, stealing cash and items including designer handbags.
It's also reported the suspects also attempted to force their way into another address.
Kent Police attended the burgled home and seized a knife which had been left at the scene.
At around 6am on August 22, an investigation then led officers to arrest Daniel Bowen, 43 and of in Wolfe Crescent, Charlton.
He was later charged with aggravated burglary and attempted burglary with intent to steal.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ court on, August 23.
