Police have released a video of the moment an armed gunman shoots a man outside a Clapham pub.

Officers were called at 9.31pm on June 4 to Bedford Road at the junction with Fenwick Place, following reports of a gunshots.

Officers attended the scene, but there was no trace of any victims or suspects.

At 9.46pm police were alerted to a 24-year-old man who had presented at a south London hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

The victim's injuries were declared not life-threatening and he has since been discharged from hospital.

Detectives have linked this injured person to the above reported shooting.

As a result of reviewing footage officer are aware that a light coloured Lexus RX 300 on false plates pulls up outside the Falcon Pub.

The video shows a man getting out of the car, holding a pump action shotgun. He then runs towards the victim and fires twice.

The victim ran off and the suspect returned to the car and drove off.

The car has not been recovered although a shell casing was found at the scene.

At this stage there have been no arrests.

“This appears to be a deliberate attempt on a man’s life with a deadly weapon," DC Melanie Burridge said.

"It was committed on a busy street and placed the public in immediate danger. I am asking anyone with information to contact us immediately.

"We cannot allow such deadly crimes on our streets and our communities need to work with us to stop them.
