Shireen and Sarah will be performing some of the greatest songs of the 20th century, from the understated purr of “Black Coffee” to the infectious swing of “Cheek to Cheek”, whilst at the same time exploring how Peggy and Ella’s turbulent lives shaped their singing careers.
The show starts at 8.00pm

Sunday 11th – Josephine Arthur on the Lunchtime Session (2.30pm):
Chiswick based jazz singer is delighted to performing at one her local jazz clubs, the legendary Bull’s Head in Barnes. Jo studied musical theatre at Arts Educational in Chiswick then having been enchanted by the songs of the great American Songbook sidestepped into jazz and had lessons with some of her favourite modern jazz singers, Claire Martin, Anita Wardell, Lianne Carole and Anton Browne.
She has performed at many of London’s top jazz venues including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, the Royal Albert Hall’s Verde Restaurant and the National Portrait Gallery.
Josephine Arthur’s warm, velvety voice has been likened to ‘bathing in chocolate’.
Drawing influences from Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn, her bluesy performances are peppered with delightful vignettes based on more contemporary artists.
For this special show Jo will be featuring the swing songs from the American Song Book as well as performing numbers from her very first jazz album, “Forever Ella”.
Tickets are £10 in advance and £12 on the door.
