Millwall are set to sign Ipswich Town goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski on a season-long loan deal, which will see striker Tom Elliot move in the opposite direction.

Bialkowski’s proposed £1 million move to the Lions earlier in the summer fell through after Millwall had concerns over his medical, but the East Anglian Times are reporting that the deal is back on.

The 32 year-old has two years remaining on his deal at Portman Road and it is assumed that both clubs will return to the possibility of a permanent move for the Poland international next summer.

The deal will also see Millwall striker Tom Elliot move to Portman Road on a season-long loan.

Elliot, 28, has scored 9 goals for the Lions since joining from AFC Wimbledon in 2017, including one in the Lion’s 3-2 victory against Ipswich on New Year’s Day.

The striker is currently ruled out with a hamstring injury which occurred when the he featured in the Lions’ first preseason outing against Concord Rangers.

Bialkowski will compete with fellow keeper Frank Fielding, who signed on for the Lions a free from Bristol City, for a starting place in between the sticks this season.
