Richmond Chamber of Commerce has had another busy week as it launched an initiative for businesses in the area to hear updates on global markets and trends.

The initiative will allow businesses to get insider information from the likes of Barclays bank, Menzies accountants, and DHJ Devonshire solicitors.

Anne Newton, Chamber CEO, said: “Excellent initiative this week launched by the Chamber of Commerce for businesses across the area to hear latest updates.

“Examples include global economic impacts as observed by Barclays, such as increased risk from cyber-attacks and medium to long term interest rates movements, global slowdown, labour supply interruptions and ongoing international trade deal negotiations.

“Accountants Menzies reminded businesses on financial management rigours flagging successful strategies such as the kaizen approach to running a business, meaning small sustained reductions in costs raising profitability.

“Finally, RHJ Devonshire outlined property law changes in the pipeline and wealth factors to ensure financial success for directors’ efforts.

“Thanks go to Menzies LLP, Barclays, RHJ Devonshire and attending businesses for supporting Monday’s event and Harlequins Rugby conferencing team excelled.”

Businesses in the area are reminded of the opportunity to sponsor an award for this November’s Richmond Business Awards, with a series of perks on offer.

Among the benefits of sponsoring an award, businesses will get access to multiple advertising opportunities within this paper, as well as a table for 10 at the awards, a presentation for the award category to be hosted with both MPs and a TV presenter, as well as many opportunities to display a brand logo throughout the event.

Anne Newton added: “We invite your business to sponsor an award and hand out the prize with local MPs and TV presenter at the black tie Gala Dinner, Friday, 15th November at RFU, Twickenham Stadium and be visible to over 100,000 readers online and in print too.”
