An investigation has been launched after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Worcester Park.
Officers were called just before 4pm yesterday to a collision between a black Mercedes Vito van and a pedestrian in Central Road, near the junction with Green Lane.
The pedestrian – a man, aged 40 years – was taken to a south London hospital suffering serious injuries. The man’s next of kin have been informed. Officers await a further assessment of his condition.
The driver of the van stopped at the scene and there have been no arrests.
