A man who allegedly entered an immigration centre in Croydon with a knife has been charged, police have said.
Khalid Saif was arrested by police in connection with the incident at Lunar House, in Wellesey Road, on May 20.
The 42-year-old from Liverpool was then charged by officers before he appeared at Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court the following day.
Croydon police said: “A 42-year-old man from Liverpool, named Khalid SAIF, was arrested [after] taking a locking knife into immigration centre at Lunar House in Croydon yesterday (May 20).
“The locking knife was found by police, who were then summoned to the building by security. SAIF was charged and appeared today (May 21) at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court with possession of a knife.”
