Thousands gathered at Richmond's 50th May fair at the weekend, enjoying fairground attractions and over 100 charity and commercial stalls.

The annual event offered a combination of live entertainment and arts and crafts.

Stallholders benefited from a record attendance, with many selling out of produce well before the end of each day.

Be Richmond Chairman Erick Kervaon said: “This was a fantastic community event with something for everyone. It was great to help our charities, support local businesses and see so many families enjoying themselves. We are already taking bookings for the 2020 Richmond May Fair.”

Charity stallholder, Colin Cooper, Chief Executive of South West London Environment Network said: “This was a superbly organised event that allowed us to engage with the public, introduce our environmental campaigns and recruit volunteers for a litter picking activity next month.”

Commercial stallholder, Ricardo Garcia of Ricardo’s Cellar added: “Operationally, this has been a brilliant event with excellent organisation across all areas including set up, security and storage. Business has been very good, and we will definitely be back next year.”
