A man attempted to avoid speaking to police this morning by climbing on to a roof in Thornton Heath.
Shortly before 8.30am officers attempted to speak to a man in relation to an inquiry.
He ran from police, climbing up on to a roof on Westbrook Road.
At least two fire engines attended the scene to ensure the man was brought down to street level safely.
He has since come down from the roof.
Police have not said whether an arrest was made.
