Four people from south east London have been arrested in connection with the ongoing Extinction Rebellion protests in central London.

A total of 71 people have been charged and the protests are still ongoing.

Charges have been made for various offences including breach of Section 14 Notice of the Public Order Act 1986, obstructing a highway and obstructing police.

Here are the names of the people from SE London who have been arrested:

Kathryn Shipp, 55 of Longton Avenue, Lewisham

Tim Speers, 33 of Wickham Road, Beckenham

Genevieve Scherer, 72 of Leppoc Road, Lambeth

Liam Norton, 34 of Bromells Road, Lambeth

The vast majority of those charged will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court between May 14 and May 31.

Nine individuals are due to appear at Camberwell Magistrates Court between May 14 and May 21.

One individual will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 7 May, and another will appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 9 May.

Those arrested but not charged have been released under investigation.
