A developer has submitted a planning application to build almost 400 flats in Richmond.
Avison Young, based in London, would like to demolish the current Homebase in Manor Road and build 385 residential units.
They plan to demolish the existing buildings and undertake a comprehensive residential-led redevelopment of a single storey pavilion, basements and four buildings between four and nine storeys.
There will also be flexible retail, community and offices use space, with provision of car parking spaces and cycle storage facilities, landscaping and public and private open spaces.
A Richmond Council spokesperson said: “We can confirm we have received a planning application for the redevelopment of the site. The application will shortly be going through the public consultation stage and all representations received will be taken into consideration when assessing the proposal.
"Any decision recommendation will be referred to both the Planning Committee and the Greater London Authority."
