A man has been charged with murder in connection with the disappearance of 21-year-old midwifery student Joy Morgan.

Joy, whose family live in Battersea, went missing on Boxing Day. Police re-arrested a 40-year-old man on February 26 on suspicion of murder.

Ajibola Shogbamimu, of Cricklewood, has since been charged with murder.

As part of the investigation, officers are keen to trace information around a highly distinctive Honda that Joy regularly travelled in.

Wandsworth Times:

The vehicle’s owner has been identified and spoken to but it is believed that the vehicle is linked to Joy’s disappearance.

Joy was last seen in Ilford and was reported missing to Hertfordshire Police on February 7.

Joy's mum Carol earlier made an emotional appeal, pleading for her daughter to come home. Police initially arrested the 40-year-old on February 14.

Shogbamimu will appear at Hatfield Remand Court later today. Joy has links to Ilford, Battersea, Cricklewood, Stevenage and Luton.
