Speaking in anticipation for this year's festival, council leader Jeremy Kite said: "The borough council’s festival has grown over the years and we’ve always strived to bring top quality live acts to Dartford and this year is no different.

"The Lightning Seeds and The Farm were the backdrop to a whole generation and groups like Björn Again and the James Taylor Quartet will ensure everyone has a great time.

"The event gets bigger and better each year, but it’s important that we never forget that first and foremost it’s a community festival and we’ll be presenting the best of Dartford’s local dance, music and drama groups to light up the Community Stage.
