A former Sutton police borough commander is among three people who have been charged following an investigation into indecent images of a child.

Superintendent Novlett Robyn Williams has been charged with one count of possession of an indecent image of a child, namely a moving image file of category A severity.

The 54-year-old is also accused of corrupt or improper conduct exercise of police powers and privileges by a constable in failing to report the distribution of said image.

Scotland Yard say Supt Williams, who is now based within frontline policing, has been placed on “restricted duties” while the investigation continues.

Alongside her is Jennifer Hodge, 55, who was charged with distributing an indecent image of a child, namely a moving image file of category A severity.

Dido Massivi, 61, faces two charges of distributing an indecent image of a child, also a moving image file of category A severity, as well as one count of possessing “extreme pornography”.

The pair, both of Deacon Road, in Brent, north London, will appear with Supt Williams at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on March 12.

All three of their charges follow an investigation which began earlier this month on February 4.
