A day nursery in Whitton has been voted Nursery of the Year (south) in this year's National Nursery Recognition Awards.
Whitton Day Nursery was given an 'Outstanding' rating by Ofsted in 2016 and are "grateful" to win the competition.
The nursery is an independent, family owned business providing education for children in their care, as well as providing support for immediate and extended family members.
Margaret and Stefan Baran, the directors of the Nursery, believe that the Nursery won this award due to the very hard work of their entire team.
This has involved frequent training opportunities plus constant communication and cohesion between staff to work with the children's and families extra needs.
Whitton Day Nursery, along with its sister nursery, Twickenham Day Nursery, also supports several of Whitton's primary schools, as well as business association - Love Whitton - with sponsorship and raffle donations.
A spokesperson from the nursery said: "We are grateful to the many current and past families, and others in our community, who voted for us - the competition was very stiff – and to the judges, who made the final decision.
"However, we will not rest with this award as we, as a team, are continually looking forward and onwards in order to further improve our services to our local families."
