A new Flamenco show premieres in Twickenham in February ahead of an extended UK tour.
Duende Flamenco will be bringing their Iberian flair to the Holy Trinity CofE Church on February 21.
The show looks at a golden age of arts which flowered in Spain in the late 20th Century as the nation emerged from a Civil War and the four decades long dictatorship.
Emerging from the Darkness exposes the sometimes tortured, sometimes joyous Soul of Spain, the insightful poetry, stirring music, spectacular dance and the stunning paintings.
It celebrates this more recent growth of the Arts that began in the mid 1970s and also re-visits earlier Golden Ages in Iberian cultural history.
The 70 minute show features an international company comprising stylish principal dancer Helena “La Leyenda”, accomplished dancer Varina, the poetic and narration skills of Madrid’s Rosario Serrano, an aural cameo of Flamenco singer Fernando Reyes and Flamenco guitarist Tomas de Cordoba.
Tickets are available online or from the Box Office. For more information visit www.duendeflamenco.co.uk, email duendeflamenco@aol.com or call 07963 959262. Tickets are £16 for adults or £10 for under 12s.
