A Richmond actor and TV present has been given the honor of presenting the NBA game in London later this month.

Kiran Rai will be presenting is 101th major event, as the Washington Wizards take on the New York Knicks. It is the ninth regular season NBA game to be played in London.

The game is on January 17 at the O2 in Greenwich. Kiran spoke about the event, he said: "Being asked to present report and meeting the players before the game starts at the NBA is amazing.

"I am extremely thrilled and can't wait, its so great its come to London and I'm proud for my Asian community I am finally passing the gate keepers.

"This will be my final event and then my next step is to crack the film industry in either LA or Mumbai."

The Wizards’ roster currently features All-Star guards Bradley Beal and John Wall, who last season led the Wizards in points and assists, respectively, as well as eight-time NBA All-Star centre Dwight Howard.

The Knicks’ roster currently features Latvian forward Kristaps Porzingis, French point guard Frank Ntilikina and guard Tim Hardaway Jr.
