A man has been tasered in Thamesmead Leisure Centre and Library after refusing to pay to use the gym.
Officers were called the the centre on December 28 just before 9am to a personal attack alarm activated by the staff.
A 32-year-old man who had not paid to enter was refusing to leave following staff requests.
The man responded aggressively and was not compliant to officer's instructions.
Officers tasered the man which appeared not to have an affect, so he was tasered a second time and he was then arrested.
While in custody the man was seen by a doctor and was subsequently detained under the mental health act.
A video of the incident has gone viral.
