There is a new bank in town.
Metro Bank opened its doors in Putney High Street today just a short walk from historic Putney Bridge.
At the ribbon cutting Iain Kirkpatrick, managing director – retail banking said: “I’m delighted to be here with the local mayor celebrating the opening of our 63rd store in Putney – home of the world famous university boat race.
"The warm welcome we’ve received from local residents and the business community to our banking revolution is overwhelming.
"We look forward to welcoming more residents through our doors, which are open 7-days a week, whether it’s for banking services, free coin counting, advice and support from our business managers or just using our event space for local meetings.”
