A team of dare devil fundraisers are set to join the Mayor of Richmond upon Thames and plunge 15,000ft through the air to raise money for Refuge Richmond.

Councillor Ben Khosa, Mayor of Richmond, and ten colleagues from the community, Council and Achieving for Children, will take part in the sky dive to raise money for his mayoral charity, Refuge Richmond.

The mayor will be joined by Michelle Beaumont, Don Rainbow, Peter Sass and Will Owen - all from Richmond Council. He will also be joined by councillors Avril Coelho, Michael Butlin and Andree Frieze, as well as Kathryn Hogarth and Clair Mudie from Achieving for Children. Rob Porter, Mortlak will also by on board in March 2019.

Refuge works with people in the borough who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence or domestic abuse. Refuge offer emergency housing and community-based support.

They will be taking to the air in March 2019 and have started fundraising now to ensure as much money as possible is raised.

Cllr Khosa, said: “This is going to be an adrenaline-filled experience and it is something I’ve never done before. I am determined to raise as much money as possible for Refuge, a charity that does such good work in Richmond, for some of the boroughs most vulnerable families. I ask everyone to dig deep and help donate.”
