Upcoming roadworks in Abbey Wood are set to block access to two residential streets as diversions are put in place, according to Bexley Council.
Direct access to Overton Road and Godstow Road from Harrow Manorway will be blocked for up to five weeks due to works aimed at enhancing the "appearance and nature of this major route" according to the council and is part of an improvement programme.
A signed diversion route will be set up from Monday, November 19 which will allow people to access Overton Road through Yarnton Way all the way to Sedgemere Road.
Those wishing to get to Godstow Road will have to go through Ampleforth Road and Grovebury Road.
The B11 bus route will be affected by these road closures but it is believed that the route will still operate up and down Harrow Manorway.
A spokeswoman for the council has said: "London Borough of Bexley apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused by the road closures. The council’s contractor for highway improvements, F M Conway will carry out the works."
