If you fancy yourself as a bit of a sleuth then you might want to head down to Balham next month.

The Murder Mystery Theatre Company was formed back in September by Emma Crocombe in an effort to raise money for a volunteer group.

But since then it has grown to much much more.

Now the Wandsworth group is looking to add a Christmas touch to their night of intrigue.

"The way the evening works is that it is a mix of immersive theatre performance and improvisation," Ms Crocombe said.

"All the actors have extensive backgrounds on theatre and improvisation, all have day jobs but do this for the love of the art.

"The audience watch the scenes unfold around them and then have the opportunity to interrogate the suspects by the way of speed dating style.

"They have one-two minutes to get as much information as they can from the shady characters."

Initially the group would perform 1920s style night out before moving into the 80s murder mystery setting.

Their new show, entitled 'Mistletoe and Die' will be set a decade later and has the whole cast chomping at the bit.

"We have our next event in Balham on December 14 at The Exhibit- which is starting in a murder mystery at Channel A’s office Christmas party and ending the night in a huge 90s disco into the early hours," Ms Crocombe continued.

"We are now looking to start booking events for 2019 and already have some really dear projects in the pipeline - but we would now love to branch into corporate entertainment.

"I really think that this is such a brilliant alternative evening event for team building."
