Families and organisations from across Richmond headed down to Murray Park in Whitton for a #Together community event last week.
The focus of the day was to repaint the community hall and the services that will be provided there, including use by police to enhance contact with the local community.
When taking a break from painting, attendees enjoyed a day of fun in the sun in Murray Park with music and football and rugby games for the whole family.
Organisations including the Metropolitan Police, Harlequins Rugby, Chelsea FC, local businesses, charities and council services banded together to deliver stalls and events for the community throughout the day.
Cllr Liz Jaeger, Cabinet Member for Community Safety and local Councillor for Whitton said: “I was delighted to see the community coming together, on a lovely autumnal day to enjoy activities, food stalls and help with the repainting of the Community Hall. Thank you to the Metropolitan Police for bringing their #Together event to our borough, and to all the organisations who took part in the day.”
