A partner at Richmond based solicitors, Moore Blatch, has been commended at The Law Society Excellence Awards 2018.

Trevor Sterling, who has been at the firm since January 2015, was recognised for his outstanding work supporting victims of major trauma accidents and community work carried out during his career.

The Law Society Excellence Awards shine a light on the incredible achievements of individuals and teams in the legal sector. In his award nomination, Sterling was praised as someone who goes ‘that extra mile’ to help those in need, as evidenced by his work on high profile cases including the Croydon tram crash and the Westminster Attack.

During his time at Moore Blatch, Sterling established the Major Trauma Team within the firm and created the award-winning Major Trauma Service in collaboration with the NHS. The first of its kind, the unique service identifies the needs of a patient at the outset and ensure that, as well as any legal compensation claim, clients receive the additional advice and support that their circumstances require.

Trevor Sterling, Partner at Moore Blatch, said: “It is an honour to have been highly commended for the ‘Solicitor of the Year’ award and I would like to thank the Law Society for recognising my work.

“I feel proud to be a part of such a great firm, with colleagues who are supportive of my passions. I am committed to continuing to help victims of major trauma accidents and getting them the support and rehabilitation that they deserve.”

Edward Whittington, Managing Partner at Moore Blatch, said: “Through his hard work, legal expertise and compassion, Trevor has built a reputation as an outstanding lawyer and we are delighted this has been recognised by the Law Society.

“At Moore Blatch, we pride ourselves on delivering the high-quality work that our clients deserve. We look forward to watching Trevor continue to build on his success at Moore Blatch and within local communities across the UK.”
