If you are a jolly man who is looking to jingle your bells this festive season, then we have the job for you.

Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice runs the popular Broadway grotto in Bexleyheath, and this year it is looking for a couple more Father Christmasses to spread the festive cheer.

The hospice will be holding Christmas open days in Abbey Wood on October 24 and November 2.

Anyone can drop in, meet the team and find out more about Santa’s role and the other Christmas activities taking place at the hospice.

Events manager Augusta Adu said: “We’d love to hear from anyone out there who is interested in working as Father Christmas.”

The hospice understands that Santa needs to work on a casual basis because he will be so busy in the run-up to Christmas, so if you can spare even a couple of hours you would be making a big difference.

Augusta continued: “If there are any grandads, uncles or dads out there who want to bring the magic of Christmas alive to thousands of children, as well as earn a bit of extra money this Christmas then please ask them to get in touch.”

Since 2014, the grotto has raised more that £150,000, which has allowed nurses to provide their tailored and compassionate care to hundreds of local patients and families.
