The Twickenham Stoop Harlequins half-term community camp is the perfect way to keep kids entertained during the school holidays.

The camp, which lasts from Monday, October 22 until Wednesday, October 24, is open to boys and girls aged six to 14, from complete beginners through to regular players.

Players who attend one of the half-term community camps have the chance to become The Community Camps Harlequins Hero of October, with an incredible prize on offer.

A Hero of the Week, who plays the game in the best spirit and with the most endeavour, will be chosen at each of the Club’s camps by Harlequins’ coaches during October. The winner from each camp will receive a trophy, and will be entered into a grand draw at the end of the half-term.

The winner of the grand prize draw will be crowned the Harlequins Hero of October and will receive two tickets to Big Game 11, which will see Harlequins play Wasps at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday, December 29. The winner will also get the opportunity to be involved in a guard of honour at the match.

This October is the start of a new community camps programme cycle that will have a different focus in each school holiday period. Developed by the Harlequins community team, the camps are based on being the ‘Best Without The Ball.’ The sessions will be focussed on movement off the ball, defensive structure, tackle technique and breakdown.

All sessions are delivered with the same game-based approach which aids creativity, decision making, and player led coaching. Each camp is made to feel enjoyable and inclusive to allow participants to develop their rugby skills and gain a greater sense of teamwork, friendship and resilience.

As well as receiving expert coaching, all participants at the community camps will receive a free Harlequins gift, a chance to win Harlequins prizes and an exclusive invitation to a Harlequins training session to meet the players.
