The church has recieved £8000 from the councils community fund.
A project to develop a green space in Whitton is a step closer thanks to an £8,000 grant from the Council’s Community Fund.
SS Philip and James Church, on Hounslow Road, is looking to transform the open green space around the church to create a communal green space for the whole community to enjoy.
This is the first successful Community Fund bid for the Whitton area.
Cllr Michael Wilson, Cabinet Member for Equality, Communities and the Voluntary Sector said: “It’s great to see our communities wanting to develop communal green spaces for everyone to enjoy. I am glad the Council has been able to support efforts to transform this green space in Whitton, which I’m sure will become a focal point for community events going forward.”
