A 42-year-old man is suffering from life threatening injuries after being hit by a train in Mortlake.
The incident happened at Mortlake Station, at around 8.20pm on Monday (August 13).
The man was treated at the scene and taken to a major trauma centre by helicopter.
The London Ambulance Service also attended the incident. They were called at 8.27 pm, to reports of a person struck by a train.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent an incident response officer, a single responder in a car and ambulance crew.
“We also dispatched our hazardous area response team (HART) and London’s Air Ambulance.”
His family have been informed and the incident is not currently being treated as suspicious.
The man remains in hospital but is in a stable condition.
