Twenty five Richmond residents are being offered the chance to join a guided walk around the newly-restored Temperate House, Kew Gardens.

The lucky group will be entitled to one walk, and are required to pre-register before attending.

They will also be able to enjoy the gardens after the walk is finished.

Councillor Martin Elengorn, cabinet minister for environment, planning and sustainability said: “Decimus Burton’s Temperate House is a Grade I listed building.

“We are grateful to Kew Gardens for offering an opportunity to local residents to visit it as newly restored.”

Walks around Temperate House will take place for those with a Richmond postcode and will run at 2pm on Wednesday, July 4 and Wednesday, August 1.

The walks start at Victoria Gate and last about an hour.
