The annual three-week Twickenham Festival is back in Church Street this June.
Kicking off with a Tug of War at 6.30pm on June 8, there will be a cask of beer up for grabs for the winners, donated by Eel Pie Pub.
Britannia Row, award-winning sound engineers, will provide the music and the event is to be compèred by local philanthropist Stuart Green, manager at The Cabbage Patch.
There will also be a craft fair, and Church Street will be ‘grassed’ with turf for the horticulture event between June 16 and 17.
Boat lovers will also be able to enjoy an evening of wine, fish & chips, and jazz aboard the New Southern Bell, cruising from Eel Pie to Hampton Court and back on June 20.
The marathon of events will finish with a feast: the Continental Market runs between June 22 to 24 and will have fresh local produce, street food, and quirky food ideas.
Church Street will closed to road traffic for every weekend of the festival.
