A woman has died after a car crashed into the bus stop she was waiting at in Twickenham on Thursday (January 4).
Police were called to the nearby Sandycoombe Road at 7.55pm to reports of an Audi crashing into a pedestrian in St Margaret's Road.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 40s, was taken by London Ambulance Service to a central London hospital.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: “She suffered critical injuries and sadly died in hospital on the afternoon of Saturday, January 6.
“Her next of kin are aware.
“The driver of the vehicle involved, an Audi Quattro, stopped at the scene and was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries that are not life threatening.
“There has been no arrest at this time. Enquiries continue.”
